The Napier Port Primary Sector Awards were hosted by the Hawke’s Bay A&P Society in October – one of the major awards is the Horticentre Horticulturalist of the Year.
The Horticentre Horticulturalist of the Year – EIT Field Day on Thursday 19th November is one not to be missed.
Our 2020 recipient Cameron Taylor and the Taylor Corp team have got an incredible Field Day in store for all those attending with viewing not only the orchard where the product is grown and harvested, but the packhouse which will showcase the full production cycle from quality sorting through to packaging and transport.
The Taylor Corp team will be showcasing world-leading innovation and technology both on orchard and in the packhouse and you must be there to witness the world-leading machinery such as the ‘Ottos’, the first-ever unmanned forklift.
Whether you’re coming to celebrate with the Taylor’s, network with others in the industry or to see some world-first innovation, we welcome everyone to join us on what will be a fantastic day.
Starting at 11:00 am at 574 Valley Road, Maraekakaho for a tour and overview of the orchard, attendees will then travel to the Taylor Corporation packhouse in their own vehicles for the tour of the facility, bbq and refreshments.
