BE KIND; NZ moves to alert level 4 at 11:59pm tonight
A positive case of COVID-19 has been identified in the community in Auckland, this case is currently under investigation.
This case is most likely to be identified as the Delta variant of the virus.
The case is located in Auckland and a link between the case and the border or managed isolation is yet to be established.

While more specific information is collected, New Zealand will move to Alert Level 4 for a minimum of 3 days with Auckland and Coromandel for 7 days.

Prime Minister Jacinda Adern has confirmed that economic support will be available, HB Chamber will provide updates on this as soon as possible.

A hard and early response is the best tool to stamp out any potential spread and everyone in New Zealand is asked to stay calm, be kind and play their part while we gather more information on the potential case.
