EIT’s Schools of Business & Computing started the new academic year with the introduction of a suite of new programmes focusing on digital business.

The Master of Digital Business, the postgraduate diploma and the postgraduate certificate in Digital Business focus on providing a management perspective on contemporary and emerging technologies. These cutting-edge programmes blend business knowledge and IT skills and cover subjects such as data analytics, e-commerce and e-business, digital marketing, digital entrepreneurship and innovation and management of emerging technologies.

Graduates will be set up to manage technology for businesses and improve digital transformation for organisations and will be able to seek employment as e.g. Brand and Digital Marketing Manager, Social Media Planner and Digital Business Analyst.

Head of School, Sabine Hoffmann is passionate about supporting the economic growth of Hawke’s Bay businesses by offering quality high-level education. “The employability of graduates is our number one focus at EIT. With their advanced digital skills, graduates will meet the growing demand for digital know-how and will be highly sought-after on the job market.”

Sabine just stepped into the role of Head of the Schools of Business and Computing after years of working in management and leadership roles in business and higher education sectors in the Middle East, Asia and Europe. “It’s great to see that EIT prioritises the delivery of high-in-demand skills for industry and is committed to providing opportunities for learners of all ages to grow and achieve educational and career success.”

Sabine said she is particularly interested in building and strengthening local as well as international partnerships with employers and industry communities and to keep EIT’s programme as industry-relevant as possible.
