Waitangi Day is almost here. Plan to come on down and have a great time at the Mitre 10 Park on Percival Road, Hastings on Saturday 6 February 2021.
Free Mahons rides
There will be free Mahons rides, a vendor city selling all kinds of food from Mamasdonuts to Turkish kebabs, POLYANAz Island food, Shanis Pork Ribs, UTO Food Burgers and Chips, Thai Foods, Soft serve Ice Cream, Coffee, TC fun for Kids Lil Orbits, Good old Hot Dogs and Chips from Gala Caterers, Slushy or Toffee Apples fron Fry Bread with Butter & Golden Syrup, Cream Paua in Fry Bread from , Kina in Fry Bread, Battered Mussels, Whitbait Fritters, Seafood Chowder, Crepes, Lil Fish Truck selling Kina, Crayfish, Raw fish and so much more. There will also be non food stalls selling Māori Taonga, Ora Body Essentials, Dot Arts Pounamu and Earings, Tribal Roots Hoodies, Cultural kakahu, Korowai, Taonga and of course, our Hauora Village will be there in full force promoting healthy messages to us all.
Bring your Iwi Membership Card
Attention Registered Ngāti Kahungunu Iwi Incorporated Members – Don’t forget to bring your iwi membership card to our iwi tent to pick up your $5 food voucher that can be used at the Waitangi Day Food City. If you don’t have a card, call our office 0800 524 864 and Brooke will help you out. If you have received your card in the past, new cards cost $5 to re-issue.
Bring you own water bottle
Please bring along your own water bottle. We will have a water truck proudly sponsored by the Hawke’s Bay District Health Board. You can fill your bottle throughout the day.
